Prerequisites: Salespersons must be 18 and have completed High School or a GED program. No residency is required. 
General Requirements: Those who want to work in the real estate industry in New Jersey must finish a 75-hour Salespersons course and pass a state licensing exam. Our salespersons' course is designed to prepare you for the state test. Upon completing our course, you will receive a "Certificate of Completion," which is used to gain admission into the state exam. The course is also suitable for anyone who wants to learn about buying and selling real estate, whether for personal use or as an investment. The subject content comprises all-important real estate phases and adheres to the New Jersey Real Estate Commission's outline.

REAL ESTATE BROKERS COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Education Requirements: 90-Hour Brokers General Course, 30-Hour Ethics and Agency Course, 30-Hour Office Management & Related Topics 
Minimum Experience Requirements: All Broker applicants must have been licensed and working as a salesperson on a full-time basis for a minimum of 3 years for the period immediately preceding the date of application. Once you have completed the Experience & Education requirements, you can apply to the NJREC for approval to take the State Licensing Exam.
