The Department of Banking and Insurance, (DOBI), has issued a temporary rule exemption that allows approved NJ Real Estate Pre-licensing Schools to provide Pre-Licensing Courses online during the Governor’s COVID-19 state of emergency. The North Central Jersey School of Business, (NCJSB), has put a system in place to deliver both the NJ Real Estate Salesperson and Broker Courses online via a virtual classroom that will be both engaging and interactive. In the virtual classroom, students will see, hear, ask questions and participate as if they are in the live classroom, and this format meets all the requirements stipulated in the DOBI’s rule exemption to allow these virtual classroom hours to be used for credit towards the required live classroom hours needed to qualify to take the state licensing exam, as is required by the DOBI’s rule exemption.
Please note that when the Governor lifts the state of emergency, the DOBI’s temporary rule exemption automatically expires and the NCJSB will then be required to immediately resume all courses in a live classroom setting regardless of where a course may be in its schedule.
